Elaine (Mcclaskey) Oram

Elaine McClaskey Oram, 68, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away February 19, 2023, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.

Elaine was born March 15, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Pat Donald McClaskey and Thaylis Harris McClaskey. She attended Linden Elementary and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On January 7, 1988, she married David Kevin Oram in Omaha, Nebraska. Elaine worked as a Special Needs teacher for Columbus Middle School in Columbus, Nebraska. Later, Elaine and David made their home in Ammon, Idaho.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Sunday School teacher, nursery leader, and Relief Society Counselor. She enjoyed family history, scrapbooking, making dolls, canning, and loved serving others.

Elaine is survived by her husband, David Oram of Ammon, ID; son, Kelly Conner of La Port, IN; daughter, Cyndi Conner of Desert Hot Springs, CA; daughter, Gail (Ryan) Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Dan (TaNishia) Conner of Boise, ID; son, Bryan (Kelly) Conner of Boise, ID; daughter, Sherie (Derrick) Lane of Kennewick, WA; daughter, Patricia Oram of Kennewick, WA; brother, Steven (Thirza) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Delynne (Della) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Patty Deardon of Idaho Falls, ID; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Thaylis McClaskey; brother, Craig McClaskey; granddaughter, Eklyn Conner; and brother-in-law, Mike Deardon.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Greg Oram officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
