ELAINE MYLER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elaine Magdalene Myler, 77, of Idaho Falls,died January 18, 2003, at her home from natural causes.
She was born February 12, 1925, in Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph Lang and Elizabeth Mahler Lang. She attended schools in Port Clinton, graduating from Port Clinton High School in 1943. She worked in the Personnel Offices of the Standard Products Company until her marriage.
She married Dewey B. Myler on December 1, 1944, in the Post Chapel at Fort Lewis, Washington. She worked in the Naval Personnel Offices in the Tacoma, Washington Shipyards as a Secretary.
They later moved to Hattiesberg, Mississippi. After the war years, they made their home in Idaho Falls where she enjoyed her home and yard. She especially liked spending the winters in California with the love of her life, Dewey.
She was a long-time member of the First Lutheran Church. She dearly loved her family. Surviving are:Son: Gregory Scott Myler,Daughter: Sybil (Darrel) Beebe,Daughter: Penny (Jim) Dixon, all of Idaho Falls, IDBrother: Robert Lang, Willowick, OH4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years, Dewey, who passed away November 13, 2002.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sunnyside & Rollandet, with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 12:30 p.m. to the time of services at the church.
Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
