Elaine Joyce (Cardana) Snyder

Elaine Joyce Snyder, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 29, 2023.

Elaine was born May 23, 1936, in Bremerton, Washington, to Edward Cardana and Ailene Ahlberg Cardana. She grew up and attended schools in California and Massachusetts.

In 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Jim Franklin, and they had three children. In 1980, Elaine married James Snyder, and together they raised a blended family of ten children. James passed away in 2003. After reuniting with Jim Franklin in 2020, she moved to Idaho Falls where she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Elaine is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie (Gary) Smylie of Idaho Falls, ID and Diana (Lonnie Wilson) Franklin of Columbus, GA; companion, Jim Franklin of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Henry Cardana of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband; son, Tracy Franklin; sister, Sylvia Lessard; and brother, David Cardana.

Private family services will be held.
