Click Here To View Memorial Video Eileen Margaret Anderson Taylor, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 1, 2015, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living of natural causes. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho Eileen was born May 1, 1920, in Sioux County, Iowa, near Hawarden, to Emil Anderson and Cora Lucinda Baker Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in Hawarden, Iowa, and graduated from Hawarden High School. She also attended Wayne State Teacher's College in Wayne, Nebraska, and American University in Washington D.C. She moved to the Washington D.C., area in 1940 to work for the U.S. Census Bureau office in Suitland, Maryland. She was there for 36 years until her retirement in 1976. On July 26, 1947, she married Sidney Haywood Taylor in Cookstown, New Jersey. To this union were born two daughters, Patricia and Melanie. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1966. She has lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho, since 1999. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She has been a member of the Methodist Church wherever she lived and has acted as Treasurer, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent at various churches. She enjoyed painting, collecting antiques, traveling, and reading. Eileen is survived by daughter, Patricia Taylor (Martin) Edwards of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Melanie Anne Taylor of Greenbelt, MD; granddaughter, April (Christopher) Jackson of College Park, MD; grandson, Richard Edwards of Glenwood Springs, CO; granddaughter, Karen Edwards of Mesa, AZ; great grandson, Ethan Jackson, great granddaughter, Mikayla Eileen Jackson; sister, Audrey J. Anderson of Des Moines, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Haywood Taylor, father, Emil Anderson, mother, Cora Lucinda Anderson, and a sister, Eleanor Anderson Kahler. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 North Water Avenue, with Reverend Ruth Marsh officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 North Water Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
