Eileen D. (Leslie) Reber

Our sweet mother, Eileen Dolores Reber, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living Center.  She was under the care of Encompass Home Health & Hospice.

Eileen was born January 2, 1933, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Thomas Melvin Leslie and Fawn Larson Leslie. She grew up and attended schools in Chandler, Arizona, graduating from Chandler High School.

She married Lorin M. Reber and together they raised seven children. They made their home in Gilbert, Arizona. She later moved to Provo, Utah, Olympia, Washington, and then Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Eileen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in all her callings, including: Relief Society President, member of a Young Womens presidency, and Young Womens volleyball coach. She served missions in the Australia Melbourne Mission and the England Birmingham Mission.

Eileen enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, the arts, and learning new things. She loved serving others and was always doing something for somebody. She loved creating and beautifying her home and the lives of those around her. Her greatest joy was her family. She remembered each family member’s birthday by sending a birthday card with a dollar bill.

Eileen is survived by her children, Sam (May) Reber of Kuna, ID, Edana (Jim) Eckles of WA, Lynn (Brenda) Reber of East Mesa, AZ, Norris Reber of Long Beach, CA, Corey (Claudia) Reber of Mesa, AZ, Lorna Lee Stock of Provo, UT, and Tessa (Vaughn) Jordan of Milo, ID; sister, Annie Lou Wilde; brother, C.L. (Judy) Leslie; and sister, Brenda (Wayne) Stoker; and those who call her Grandma, Grammy, Little Grandma, and Oma:  32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
