Eileen Maria Elg Bowcutt-Miller passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2015, in Chubbuck, Idaho. Born April 20, 1927, in New Sweden, Idaho, to John and Olga Elg, the seventh of eight children. Eileen attended New Sweden Elementary School and Shelley High School and graduated in 1945 from Idaho Falls High School. Eileen married T. Keith Bowcutt on August 10, 1946, on the Elg family farm that was homesteaded by her father in New Sweden. Keith and Eileen lived in Idaho Falls and raised four children. Keith worked for the INL and Eileen was a very devoted housewife whose passion was love of her children. As a family the Bowcutt clan could be found camping and fishing, and in 1978 when Keith retired, they hooked on the trailer and went exploring this country spending winters in Yuma, Arizona. Keith and Eileen loved to go dancing with their friends and could always count on a rousing game of cards with family and friends. Eileen loved bowling and belonged to many leagues in her lifetime, and when she could no longer go bowling she would watch the bowling channel. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, who died on January 2, 2005. Little did she know that love would resurface when in 2007 her high school friend reentered her life and gave her so much happiness for the past eight years. She married Kent Miller on September 21, 2007, in Pocatello, Idaho, and gained four wonderful loving stepchildren. Eileen lived in Chubbuck, Idaho, until her passing. Eileen is survived by her husband, Kent Miller of Chubbuck, ID; three of her children, Toni (Art) Gimpel, Carol (Eric) English, Mike (Connie) Bowcutt all of Idaho Falls; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Marilyn (Vern) Pitcher of Smithfield, UT; Susan (Don) Brown of Keizer, OR; Joann (Kay) Anderson of Chubbuck, ID; Steven (Becky) Miller of Brigham City, UT; 14 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great grandchildren; siblings, only her sister, Donna (Bob) Wartchow of Idaho Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, T. Keith Bowcutt; her youngest daughter, Christie Jo Bowcutt; her parents, John and Olga Elg; six brothers, Walter, Rolf, Elmer (Boss), Lester, Vernon (Curley) and Allan (Shorty) Elg.
