EFFIE RAMIREZ Click here to view Effie's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Effie Sue Wood Ramirez, 67, of Blackfoot, died May 12, 2010, at her son’s home in Idaho Falls. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. Effie was born December 14, 1942, in Parker, Arizona, to Edward Clarence Wood and Beatrice Grace Parks Wood. She graduated from Parker High School before attending Porterville Community College in Porterville, California, where she studied social work. She married Bobby Lee Harrison in Arizona in 1960. They were later divorced. She married Nicholas Ramirez in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1973. They were later divorced. Effie lived in Porterville, California, until 1990 when she moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where she lived for 17 years. She was residing with her sons in Idaho Falls at the time of her death. She worked as a care provider for the handicapped. Effie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed painting and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered best for being such a good mother and grandmother to her three boys and four grandchildren. She was full of love and shared it freely with all. Survivors include: Son: Bryan Keith Harrison, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Nicholas Manuel Ramirez, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Miguel Luise Ramirez, Idaho Falls, ID Four Grandchildren: Roxanne Luisser, Cecilia Rose Ramirez, Olivia Ramirez, Jayden Stephen Schmidt.. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, May 14, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Rd.
