Edwin Bruce Criswell

Edwin Bruce Criswell, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 3, 2018. Bruce and his wife, Linda, shared 38 wonderful years together. Their years were full of love, laughter and happiness.

Bruce was born November 23, 1951, in Monticello, Kentucky, to Edwin Criswell and Eloise Adams. He graduated from Norwood High School, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1969. Bruce went on to attend Idaho State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in December 1999.

In September of 1970, Bruce enlisted in the US Navy. He served for 22 and a half years aboard several nuclear power submarines. He received several commendations throughout his service including the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal. Bruce retired from the Navy having earned the rank of Master Chief Electrician Mate (EMCM). His professional career continued as Operations Manager at the INL, ATR facility, retiring in 2012.

Bruce loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid archery hunter; and enjoyed fishing and camping. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Bruce played baseball for a Navy team in Idaho Falls; and was a member of the YMCA where he played and coached youth basketball. Bruce was known for his intelligence, great sense of humor and his love for the Utah Jazz.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Sara (Shawn) Haskell of Kimberly, ID, Carla (Kameron) Were of Salt Lake City, UT, and Beth (Jeff) Jaggar of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Janet (Larry) Benhase of Virginia Beach, VA, and Barbara (Steven) Renaker of Ft. Wright, KY; granddaughter, Hailey Oliver; grandsons, Devin Oliver, Mikhail Were and Trenton Jaggar. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Jeff Jaggar.
