ED ADAMS Click here to view a video of Ed 's life IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edwin Walter Adams, 79, of Idaho Falls, died May 14, 2008, at the Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born November 6, 1928 in Upland, California, to Frank Powhattan Adams and Alma Greear Adams. He moved often with his family, eventually graduated from high school, and later continued his education at College of Southern Idaho. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War and Viet Nam War in the area of security. He was first married to Mary Singleton. They were later divorced. He then married Shirley Logan and they were later divorced. He married Sharon Smith and they were later divorced. On May 25, 1978, he married Carla Jean Newman in Twin Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on August 3, 1979. He served in the Air Force for 20 years until his retirement. He then worked as a cross country truck driver for 30 years. He also worked as a security guard at Peoria High School in Peoria, AZ. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings, including ward missionary. Ed loved all of his children, was very proud of their accomplishments, and delighted in being a Grandpa. Survivors include: Wife: Carla Adams, Idaho Falls Son: Thomas Adams, Boise Daughter: Joycellen Adams, Boise Daughter: Cindee Adams, Boise Son: Richard (Darlene) Adams, Glenns Ferry Daughter: Laura Louise (Harold) Mothersill, Idaho Falls Brother: Elmer (Shirley) Adams, Phoenix, AZ Brother: Gene (Priscilla)Adams, Decatur, TX Brother: Clyde (Fi) Adams, Angel Fire, NM Sister: Bonnie (Virgil) Schultz, Idaho Falls Sister: Bettie (Dale) Mortenson, Provo, UT 9 Grandchildren & several Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 2nd Ward, 1660 - 12th Street, with Bishop Michael Phippen officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls. Military Rites will be performed by the Idaho Honor Guard. ------------------------------------
