Edward Theodore (ET) Walker, 73, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away March 21, 2015, at his home.
Ed was born to John David Walker and Ruth Jane (Evans) Walker on May 2, 1941. Ed attended Idaho Falls High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1959. During his service, he obtained the rank of E4, serving in Southeast Asia and Barstow, California. Upon his return from service, Ed went to work driving truck and hauling hay. Later on, Ed found himself making a career in the irrigation business, where he sold and serviced pumps throughout the Snake River Valley, owning and growing his business until he left the industry for retirement.
Ed married Ann Gay of Pingree, Idaho, on August 31, 1963, and moved into a small house in Idaho Falls. Their first child, a son named Creig, was born to them in 1967, and their second child, a daughter named Trina, in 1970. The family was often out hunting, fishing, and camping in the summer and fall and would take annual vacations throughout the western US. Ed and Ann spent many years together settling into their house on the county line, where they kept a range of farm animals at any given time. Ed was especially fond of working with horses and growing large turkeys for family and friends, with some of the birds occasionally reaching over fifty pounds. In August of 2013, Ed and Ann celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his son Creig (Rina) Walker of Sandy, Utah; daughter Trina (Robert) Keefer of Boise, Idaho; brothers David Walker and John (Karen) Walker, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sisters Linda (Reed) Heston of Ucon, Idaho, and Judy (Gordon) Mathews of Shelley, Idaho; granddaughters Tesla Anne, Morgan Joleen, and Kaisha Dee; grandsons Stephen Edward, Austin Jacob, and Andrew David; and great granddaughter Harper Joon.
