EDDIE SHELTON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edward Gene (Eddie) Shelton, 60, of Idaho Falls, died November 11, 2006 at his home from complications due to kidney disease.
He was born August 22, 1946 in Erwin, Tennessee, the son of Henry Rush Shelton and Bea Haun Shelton. He attended Trenton High School before joining the U.S. Army and serving with the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" in Vietnam. He continued his education at Lansing Community College and Michigan State University before moving to Arizona. He lived for many years in Flagstaff and Phoenix and was an executive with ServiceMaster Corporation and owned his own business as well.
While living in Phoenix, he married Debbie Meador and they were later divorced. He married Suzann Mae Drake in November, 2002, at the Senior Citizens Center in Rigby, Idaho, and they were later divorced.
Ed loved all sports and was on the wrestling team and played football in high school. He was also an avid bowler and as a teenager bowled a 300 game. After moving to Arizona he became an accomplished skier and later took up Golf. Eddie also loved music, any kind of music and was quite a talented artist. Eddie made friends wherever he went. He had an easy smile and an optimistic outlook. No matter what difficulties life handed him he made the best of it. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Stepson: Jason (Marina) Love of Phoenix, AZ
Mother: Bea Burbo of Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Sharon Stillson of Seattle, WA
Sister and Brother-in-law: Cathie and Jim Hull of Orlando, FL
Half Sister: Carol Kania of Taylor, MI
6 Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Rush Shelton, of Burnsville, NC
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends Friday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge.
Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Eddie and I bowled together on a couple of leagues and I worked with him to find his home. I enjoyed his company and will miss him. Again I'm sorry.

Eddie was a great friend.
His loving personality and outgoing lifestyle were an inspiration. No matter what troubles came to his life Ed was still up golfing and enjoying time with his son whenever he could. Eddie you won't be forgottin.
Eddie was a great man. his positive attitude and willingness to help anyone will not be forgotten. Eddie you are still an inspiration every day and I will never forget you.
