EDWARD 'BUD' JANES
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edward Vern "Bud" Janes, 76, of Idaho Falls, died July 6, 2005, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1929, at Boise, to Edward Vincent Janes and Blanche Tracy Janes. Soon after he was born, the family moved to Iona where he grew up and attended Iona High School.
On June 9, 1950, he married Golda Ethel Moss in Ririe. Their marriage was solemnized on April 12, 1956, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as a building supervisor for the City of Idaho Falls.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was ordained to the office of High Priest. He enjoyed ranching, had a strong work ethic, and was always willing to be involved in building projects for the church and community.

Sister: Wilma (Clyde) Rust, Portland, OR
Sister: Anna (Burt) Henderson, Dillon, MT
Sister: Elaine Christensen, Idaho Falls
8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald; one brother, Paul Janes and two sisters, Maureen Ricks and Kathleen Ross.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the Iona LDS 5th Ward (Ririe Hwy and Iona Rd.) with Bishop Geoffrey Thomas officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
