Edward "Ed" Grady

Edward Francis Grady, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 7, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1949, in Pocatello, Idaho to James Henry Grady and Gwendolyn Maria Miller Grady. He grew up in the area and attended Whittier Elementary, Hawthorne Junior High, and graduated from Pocatello High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On June 22, 1991, he married Patsy Gail Sandusky in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He worked as a Warehouseman for Basic American Foods at the Idaho Falls distribution centers for 37 years. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 25 years and was editor of the AA newsletter. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and regularly donated blood to the American Red Cross. Ed enjoyed playing Bingo and loved fishing and hunting. Survivors are: Wife: Patsy Grady, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Michelle (Joseph) Moyer, Elwood, UT Daughter: Angela (Rick) Seymour, East Dundee, IL Brother: James Michael Grady, Sacramento, CA Brother: Patrick Charles Grady, Sacramento, CA Sister: Mary Teresa (Dale) Clark, Ashton, ID 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended AA family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Victor. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Serenity Hall (600 South Boulevard) in Idaho Falls. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13th in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho with military rites by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
