Edward "Ed" Bright

Edward Doran Bright, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 13, 2012, at his home. Ed was born on September 2, 1949, in Wendell, Idaho to James Franklin Bright and Virginia Mae Mink Bright. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Hagerman High School. He continued his education by attending the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. Ed served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. On April 11, 1970, he married Judy L. Olsen in Wendell, Idaho. They lived in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Filer, Idaho before moving to Idaho Falls. He worked in construction installing drywall and owned his own business, Bright’s Drywall. Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, panning gold, and cars. Survivors are: Wife: Judy Bright, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Malena (Gregg) Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tyra (Manny) Gonzalez, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jennifer (Brett) Merrill, Menan, ID Daughter: Cassandra (Dan) Lindberg, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Edward J.(Jennifer) Bright, Idaho Falls, ID 14 Grandchildren Mother:Virginia Bright Stepmother: Nancy Bright Brother: Marty Bright Brother: John Bright Brother: Russ (Lisa) Bright Brother: Mike (Mary) Bright Stepbrother: Joe (Cheryl) Bright Sister: Etta (Dean) Jensen Sister: Valerie (Marvin) Allen Sister: Coral (Jim) Sparrow Sister: Cindy (Mike) Elliot Sister: Bonnie (Scott) Peters Stepsister: Sue (Bruce) Robbins Ed was preceded in death by his father; James F. Bright; 2 grandsons, Martin Merrill and James Bright; and 1 granddaughter, Johanna Bright. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Ed’s home (360 Cleveland, Idaho Falls).
