EDNA TAYLOR
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edna Marie Stowell Taylor, 92, of Idaho Falls, died June 14, 2006, at her home.
She was born October 27, 1913, in Annis, Idaho, to David William Stowell and Elizabeth Spori Stowell (daughter of Jacob Spori). She grew up and attended schools in Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School and her dear Ricks Academy. She then attended Brigham Young University, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
On June 4, 1935, she married her sweet heart, Gordon Brinton Taylor, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a mother and homemaker, as well as her husband’s helper in the sheep business. In her later years, she went to work for 13 years as an art teacher and a librarian at South Fremont High School.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a talented artist and an accomplished musician. Edna played the cello in a dance orchestra and sang in the choir.
She served in numerous positions in the church and served an LDS mission in Salt Lake City at 78 years of age. She will be long remembered for her yummy food, beautiful quilts and book reviews.

Brother: Dr. Paul (Loreli) Stowell, Logan, UT
Brother: Dr. William “Bill” Stowell, Salt Lake City, UT
21 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters, and a great granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother and grandmother. She was a dear lady and will be missed. We enjoyed her friendship while we were together in the 14th ward.
