Edna Cunningham

Edna Bodily Cunningham, 96, of Ammon, passed away January 25, 2013, at Parkwood Meadows in Idaho Falls, Idaho, of causes incident to age. Edna was born January 30, 1916, in Preston, Idaho, to Henry James Bodily and Eva Griffeth Bodily. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Iona, Idaho. On November 1, 1937, she married Ralph Lewis Cunningham in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had four children. Edna was a homemaker and worked in the Ammon school lunch program for about 20 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family as well as traveling with her husband, quilting, and exercising. She was often seen walking with her friends around the blocks of old Ammon. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout her life in various callings in the church. Her husband, Ralph, passed away January 23, 2002. Edna is survived by her children, Garth (Christina) Cunningham of Ammon, ID; Valeta (Steve) Cook of Rigby, ID; Brent (Nancy) Cunningham of Boise, ID; Joyce (Sterling) Brimley of Bountiful, UT; and fifteen grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; all of her siblings; and daughter-in-law, Gloria Cunningham. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Ammon LDS 1st Ward, 3000 Central Avenue, with Bishop Ryan Kohler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. A special thanks to Hearts for Hospice and to the staff at Parkwood Meadows for all the service and loving care they gave to our Mom, Edna.
