Edith Melbadene Holmes Vollman, 74, of Iona, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Edith was born June 23, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, to George Eugene Holmes and Beuhlah Annamay Parks Holmes. She attended public schools in St. Louis. She moved to California at the age of 15. She married Harlan F. "Harley" Vollman on March 17, 1957, in Tijuana, Mexico. They relocated to Idaho Falls in 1967. Their marriage was solemnized on June 10, 2000 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Edith was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in compassionate service and on the activities committee. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: Husband: Harley F. Vollman, Iona, ID Daughter: Pamela Parris, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Carol Riggs, Sherwood, OR 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Robert William Vollman, Harley Fred Vollman Jr., and E. Richard Vollman; daughter, Debbie Lee Vollman; four brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at the Iona LDS 10th Ward, 5169 Denning Avenue, Iona, with Bishop Albert Davidson officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Archer-Sutton Cemetery.

Ammon Rd., and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in Archer-Sutton Cemetery.
