Stoddard, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 23, 2015, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls, under the constant care of her loving family. Edith was born October 6, 1925, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the youngest of thirteen children born to Richard Israel Tracy and Elsie Elizabeth Empey Tracy. She grew up and attended schools in New Sweden and Idaho Falls. On November 5, 1943, she married W. Ray Stoddard in Long Beach, California, where he was serving in the U. S. Navy. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple March 29, 1961. Following their marriage they made their home in Idaho Falls. They farmed in Ucon and Osgood for over forty years and Edith was a supportive wife, mother, and homemaker. In 2003 they left the farm in Osgood and moved into Idaho Falls because of ill health. Ray passed away June 20, 2006. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Edith served as Sunday School secretary, Ward Librarian for several years, and in the Relief Society. She and Ray were temple workers for ten years and served a full-time mission to Adelaide, Australia. Edith delighted in her family and loved spending time with Ray, the children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crafts, "farm day" with the grandchildren, and collecting. Edith is survived by son, Merlin Ray "Skip" Stoddard of Skagway, AK, son, A. David (Pam) Stoddard of Big Fork, MT, daughter, Sharon (Duane) Elder of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Betty (Lynn) Dansie of Rigby, ID. daughter, Teresa (Randall) Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID, 32 grandchildren and 60+ great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings, Richard “Lavearl” Tracy, Emma Ann Sparr, Elsie “Irene” Fifield, Ephraim “LaVon” Tracy, Helon Dermont “Dee” Tracy, Raymond “Weldon” Tracy, Elwood Burdett Tracy, Charles “Bert” Tracy, infant twin sisters, Merlin Empey Tracy, and Ruth Edna Obrey, a grandson, Lenny Leigh, an infant great granddaughter, and great granddaughter, Rachel Sudweeks. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
