Edith "Kathy" Jardine

KATHY JARDINE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edith Kathleen “Kathy” Madsen Jardine, 69, of Idaho Falls, died January 7, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1934 at Rigby to Loyal Mathew Madsen and Leonora Eileen Elsworth Madsen. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. On January 7, 1953, she married Val D. Jardine in Rigby. On January 2, 1957, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She worked at the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital for a brief time. She was a clerk for Judge Graham and later worked at Holden, Holden and Kidwell. She retired in 1998 as a secretary for IBEW (Electrical Workers Union). She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed golfing, swimming, boating, walking, and snowmobiling. Kathy especially loved being with her friends and family. Keith (Leda) Madsen, Rigby, ID Brother: Darwin D. (Lilly) Madsen, Salt Lake City, UT Brother: Kenneth R. Madsen, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Peter J. Madsen, Idaho Falls, ID Brother-in-law: Theron (Nancy) Jardine, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Margaret Hodges, Teton, ID She was preceded in death by her daughter, Valeen; parents; father-in-law, William “Bill” Jardine; and a brother. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004, at the Grant LDS 2nd Ward (3431 East 100 North, Rigby) with Bishop Alan Batt officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1145, Blackfoot, Idaho 83221 or the Developmental Workship, 555 West 25th St, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
