EDITH B. HADLEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edith Baugh Hadley, 80, of Idaho Falls and St. George, died July 8, 2005, at her home in Idaho Falls.
She was born September 12, 1924, to Horace Summerill Baugh and Gladys E. Langlois Baugh in Logan, Utah. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Preston High School.
She married Douglas W. Hadley on July 25, 1945, in Preston, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 25, 1962. They made their home in Ft. Knox, Kentucky; Preston, Soda Spring, Blackfoot, Island Park, Idaho; and St. George, Utah and have lived in the Idaho Falls area for the past two summers. She was a mother and homemaker and worked for the Blackfoot School District as a cook.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she willingly served in many assignments, including Relief Society President and Young Women’s President.
She enjoyed knitting and shared knitted slippers and afghans with her family and friends. She loved cooking and always had room at the table for more people; she had a gift of caring for others and never met a stranger.
She and her family are appreciative of the health care providers and Hospice of Eastern Idaho who cared for her the last few weeks.

13 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law and two grandsons, Douglas W. Hadley III and Troy Goodwin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at the Ammon LDS Stake Center (2055 S. Ammon Rd.) with Bishop Leslie Grigg of the Ammon LDS 14th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12th, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
