Edith Ethel Barnes Bolinder, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 9, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. Edith was born July 13, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George Barnes and Erma Peterson Barnes. She grew up in Ririe and attended schools there. She graduated from Ririe High School in 1947. Edith married Bert C. Bolinder November 8, 1947, in Montana. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Edith enjoyed camping, canning, crocheting, and puzzles. She was a good cook. Her family was the light of her life and especially enjoyed her grandkids. An avid Pinochle player, she played cards with her friends and family for over 50 years. Edith is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bert, two sons, Brent L. Bolinder and Bruce (Tina) Lee Bolinder, both of Ririe, ID; daughter, Beth (Rodney) Brown of Iona, ID; a brother, Frank (Evelyn) Barnes of Roberts, ID; a sister, Ruth (Lyle) Anderson of Ammon, ID; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Calvin Barnes. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
