DR. RALPH COLLETT
CEDAR HILLS, UT -- Edgar Ralph Collett, 75, of Cedar Hills, Utah, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 4, 2008 at the American Fork Hospital. His keen sense of humor and wonderful personality will be greatly missed. The world is a better place because of his good works.
Ralph was born January 2, 1932, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Edgar Ross and Lucy Laverne Thompson Collet. Ralph was outstanding in athletics and academics.
He married Billie Rose Nelson July 29, 1953, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and together had three children. Ralph served in the U. S. Air Force, graduated from Brigham Young University, and later Washington University Dental School in St. Louis, where he established his practice. Billie passed away during the birth of their fourth child. He later married Doris Marie Dahle Atkinson in 1975. Ralph helped raise her five children and together they had a son, Tyler.
After his retirement, Ralph worked as a dentist for Missouri State Correctional Services and later on the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Montana. Ralph always enjoyed and loved the people he worked with.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, of Cedar Hills, Utah; nine children: Kathryn, Jane, Bradley, Tamara, Blake, Kimberly, Brett, David, Tyler and 34 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 8, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cedar Hills LDS Manila 10th Ward, 3785 West Box Elder Drive on Canyon Road, Cedar Hills, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
Burial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with full military honors.
