Alfred Earl Holyoak, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 16, 2016, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Earl was born July 10, 1941, in Great Falls, Montana, to Alfred Bentley Holyoak and Martha Earl Holyoak. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Earl served for his country in the United States Navy. On December 5, 1970, he married Patricia Ann Cowley in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born three children, Michael, Trent, and Michelle. Earl and Patricia made their home in Idaho Falls, where Earl worked as a technician for AT&T. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Earl served a mission in the Central States and was very active in scouting. He enjoyed model airplanes and guns. Earl loved spending time with his family and going to their cabin. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Holyoak of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Michael (Shauna) Holyoak of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Trent (Susan) Holyoak of Bettendorf, IA; daughter, Michelle Holyoak of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Orma (Richard) Barker of Shelley, ID; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Jason Skillings officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
