EARL J BARROW
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Earl J Barrow,
81, of Idaho Falls, died May 27, 2003, at the Idaho Falls Care Center.
He was born May 5, 1922 in
Rigby to Earl Raymond Barrow and Jessie Elizebeth Olsen Barrow. He grew
up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Rigby High School.
He served as a Sargent in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
Upon returning, he attended Machinist’s Technical School in Denver,
Colorado, and then went to work for the Navy’s Ordnance Plant.
On November 29, 1946, he married
Grace Esther Jensen in Idaho Falls. He worked for 31 years as a machinist
at Argonne National Laboratories. He was one of sixteen men who started
EBR I. He is still being honored at the Smithsonian Institute, Idaho Falls
Museum, and EBR I Museum.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting,
golf, horseshoes and playing the harmonica.

Daughter: Terri Mills (Dan Kelly), Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Donald Barrow, Declo, ID
Brother: Wayne Barrow, Grant, ID
Brother: Lynn Barrow, Menan, ID
Stepbrother: Bobbi Olsen, UT
Sister: Lucille Barrow, Rigby, ID
Stepsister: Beulah Olsen, Boise, ID
13 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma and one stepbrother, Marvin
Olsen.
Memorial Services will be
at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2003, at Wood East Side Chapel (963 S.
Ammon) with Pastor Tony Maupin, of the Shiloh Foursquare Church, officiating.
Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
Following the service, the
family will visit with friends at St. John’s Lutheran Church (290
- 7th Street) where a luncheon will be served.
