OBITUARY INFORMATION
Dean Carpenter
Elmer Dean Carpenter, 85, of Terreton, passed away on November 11, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1927, in Palisade, Colorado to Cecil Maurice Carpenter and Rickie Frome Fritz Carpenter. The family moved to Fruita where he grew up and attended schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate.
On December 14, 1951, he married Lita Anne Mock in Grand Junction, Colorado. They lived in Fruita, CO, Blackfoot and Monteview, before moving to Terreton. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8893.
Dean was a member of the Community Church of Mud Lake. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling.

Brother: Claude Carpenter, Hutchinson, KS
Sister: Dorothy Ball, Grand Junction, CO
20 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 4 sisters,1 brother, and 2 granddaughters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Community Church of Mud Lake (1122 East 1500 North) in Terreton with Pastor Bryan Gomez officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the West Jefferson Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the West Jefferson Senior Center, 1075 East 1500 North, Terreton, ID 83450 or Community Church of Mud Lake, 1122 East 1500 North, Terreton, ID 83450.
