DWAYNE DAVIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dwayne Dilbert Davis, 81, of Ammon, died November 21, 2005, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. He was born April 24, 1924, in Elgin, Kansas, to Charles Henry Davis and Ola Eviline Todd Davis. He grew up and attended schools in California, graduating from San Bernardino High School. He served as a Machinist 2nd Class in the U. S. Navy during World War II. After his military service he obtained his Associates Degree as a machinist from Valley College. On September 6, 1952, he married Bonnie Lou Glosch in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized September 14, 1965, in the Oakland, California, LDS Temple. He worked as a Boiler Engineer, Plumber, Heavy Equipment Operator and worked for the California Division of Highways. He also worked as the Los Angeles LDS Temple Engineer. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as first counselor in the Branch Presidency in Dolan Springs, Arizona. He enjoyed fishing and sailing. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Aspen Home Health and Hospice for their kind and loving care. Survivors are: Wife: Bonnie Davis, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Connie Lee (Lynn) VerSteeg, Kennewick, WA Son: Craig Melvin (Brigette) Davis, San Bernardino, CA Son: Glenn Ray (Christy) Davis, Ammon, ID 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2005 at the Ammon LDS Stake Center, 2055 South Ammon Road, with Bishop Kerry Ball of the Ammon LDS 16th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
