DWAIN WAGONER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dwain A Wagoner, 84, of Idaho Falls, died January 7, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He was born July 18, 1923, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Quincy A. Wagoner and Lydia Pearl Rainsdon Wagoner. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended schools in the area. At the age of 17, he left school to join the Navy to serve his country in World War II. He later received an Honorary Diploma from Idaho Falls High School. As a young man, he worked as a guide and wrangler in Teton National Park. He was a 4-H leader for 15 years and served on the Bonneville County Fair Board for many years. He was the Draft Horse Superintendent for the Eastern Idaho Sate Fair. He was a Light and Heavy Horse Judge in the Intermountain States. In 1948 he married Grace R. Hartshorn. They had one son (Alan). They later divorced. On February 10, 1956, the married Marian Inez "Sally" Andrew in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a farmer, rancher, and livestock dealer. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include: Wife: Sally Wagoner, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Alan Wagoner, Rigby, ID Daughter: Queta (Lloyd) Tolman, Basalt, ID Son: Kim (Diana) Wagoner, Lehi, UT Daughter: Wendy (Sam) Holder, Basalt, ID Son: Shane Wagoner, Firth, ID Brother: Roy (Peggy) Wagoner, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Dale (Diane) Wagoner, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Kenneth (Laura) Wagoner, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Dorothy Hill, Salt Lake City, UT 17 Grandchildren & 25 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Spencer Holder. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2008, at the Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road with Bishop Kevin Killpack of the Idaho Falls LDS Park-Taylor Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services, both at the Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
