DWAIN ROSA Click here to view Dwain's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dwain Bruce Rosa passed away September 8, 2009, at the Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. Dwain was 85 years old. He was under the kind and considerate care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Dwain was born in 1924, in Alexander, Idaho, to Mabel and Leon Rosa. Leon was a telegrapher and ticket agent for the Union Pacific Railroad. Dwain grew up in Alexander, McCammon, Shoshone, and Caldwell, Idaho. He graduated from high school in Caldwell. While attending the University of Idaho, Dwain was called to military service in 1943. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps until 1945. Following his release from the military, Dwain returned to the University of Idaho earning his BA degree in history. In 1951, Dwain returned to the military, joining the U.S. Air Force. Dwain served not only in the United States, but saw tours of duty in Europe and the Far East. Dwain retired from the Air Force in 1971 as a Senior Master Sergeant. In his retirement, Dwain enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed gun smithing and gun collecting. Dwain also cared and traveled with his parents. He made a number of trips with his sister, Jenice. Dwain was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Leon Rosa. He is survived by his sister, Jenice Markowski; a niece, Margo (Arthur) Markowski; and two nephews, Jan (Sandra) Markowski and David (Cozy) Markowski. He will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Services will also be held at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho. Burial will be in the Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho. ---------------------------------------------
