Duane N. Wolf, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 29, 2015, at his home.
He was born February 9, 1928, in Newman Grove, Nebraska to Henry and Metta Wolf. The family moved to the Idaho Falls area where he attended the Osgood School and O.E. Bell Junior High. He joined the U.S. Army in 1945 during the Japan occupation and was stationed in Yokohama, Japan. He earned the rank of Corporal and served honorably until his discharge in September of 1947.
On February 14, 1948, he married Doreen Winder in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was a construction worker for Reinhart Construction and Burtons Bros. Concrete throughout his construction history.
Duane cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved being around his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Duane loved woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, walking and a good western. He was well known in Idaho Falls for his woodwork creations. He and Doreen enjoyed spending winters in Blythe, California.

19 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Leona and “Babe”; a brother, Jim; and two granddaughters, Tanaya and Melina.
He fought a courageous battle with cancer and was surrounded by loved ones until the very last minute.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Eastern Idaho for the great care that was provided to Duane.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services, both at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
