DOUG KUHNS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Douglass Jack Kuhns, 44, of Idaho
Falls, died March 4, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of
cancer.
He was born March 4, 1961, in Indiana, Pennsylvania,
to Jack Wallace Kuhns and Rachel Louise Stineman Kuhns. He grew up in
Indiana, Pennsylvania and attended schools there, graduating from Indiana
High School. He received his BS and Master of Science degrees from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania. His pre-graduate and post-graduate studies
were taken at Idaho State University in Pocatello and the University of
Montana at Missoula.
On December 17, 1985, he married Wendy Sue Repine in
Belton, Texas. Over the years they lived in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Killeen,
Texas, and Missoula, Montana, before coming to Idaho Falls. Doug was employed
at the INEL as a project manager. He had previously worked for UPS in
Indiana while attending school.
Doug served as a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church
in Idaho Falls. His memberships include the American Society of Safety
Engineers and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Doug served
as a field judge at Las Cruces, New Mexico, for about 10 years. Doug enjoyed
hiking, bicycling, and camping with his family. He was devoted to his
beloved wife, Wendy, and children, Amanda and Meghan, who were his greatest
joy in life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Kuhns.
Memorial Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March
9, 2005, at the Idaho Falls First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street,
with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. Following the services,
a reception for family and friends will be held in the church hall.
