DOUGLAS DON RICKS Douglas Don Ricks, 49, of Idaho Falls, ID died August 10, 2003, at his home. He was born March 24, 1954, in Logan, Utah to Don Frank Ricks and Iris Viola Hunter Ricks. The family moved to Rexburg, Idaho where he attended Washington and Kennedy Elementary schools and Madison Jr. and High Schools. He also attended Ricks College for one year. He married Cheryl Grant October 15, 1976 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were later divorced. He worked as an artist and was so accomplished he sold many works in large galleries around the country. He lived in Rexburg, Sunnydell, then in Idaho Falls since 1999. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed all forms of art, photography, taking walks, and listening to music. Ricks, Indianola, UT Brother: Jeffery Ricks, Logan, UT Brother: Russell (Karen) Ricks, Salem, UT Brother: Martin (Cheryl) Ricks, Springville, UT Sister: Rebecca (Kim) Spalding, Indianola, UT Sister: Connie (Dale) Handy, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Kristie (Rusty) Winget, Orem, UT He was preceded in death by his father and one nephew. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., August 16, 2003, at the Idaho Falls North Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop David Holland of Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m , Saturday, August 16th, at the church. Burial will be in Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
