Douglas Edward Lema, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 21, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Douglas was born January 31, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Edward Joseph Lema and Jane Leona Carter Lema. He grew up and attended schools in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Utah and graduated from North Western Lehigh High School in Tripoli, Pennsylvania.
On September 25, 2004, he married Thelma Jean Lema in Freedom, Wyoming. Douglas and Thelma made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Douglas worked as a Mechanic for Silva's Automotive Service.
He was a member of the Island Park Volunteer Fire Department, and a proud Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, working on classic cars ,and singing, He loved visiting friends and family and collecting anything cars and Elvis.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Jean Lema of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Jane Leona Lema; brother, Patrick Harold Lema; sons, Christopher Lema, Dustin Lema, Michael Fife, Jeramia Clark, Josiah Clark; daughters, Brandie Callahan, OnaLee Tucker, and Mariah Nowland; and their spouses and life partners; and 22 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Joseph Lema and sister, Holly Jane Young.
Services for friends and family will be announced this spring.
