Douglas James Brackett, 51, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 3, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1966, in La Crescenta, California, to James Anderson Brackett and Eilleen Lelia Turney Brackett. He grew up and attended schools in California and graduated from Glendale High School. He also attended Ricks College where he received his Associates Degree. Later he attended Idaho State University. On August 19, 1989, he married Lori Dawn Roseberry in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born two sons, Douglas Jr. and James. Douglas and Lori made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Douglas worked as a Job Trainer for Deseret Industries. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed miniature war gaming, military history, and reading. Douglas is survived by his wife, Lori Brackett of Idaho Falls, ID; son, D.J. Brackett of Idaho Falls, ID; son, James Brackett of Idaho Falls, ID; and sister, Susan Brackett of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkwood Ward (395 - 2nd Street) with Bishop Stephen Miller officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 South Ammon Road) and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
