DORTHA BAKER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dortha Baker, 94, of Idaho Falls, died February 23, 2010, at Idaho Falls Care & Rehabilitation.
Dortha was born September 23, 1915, in Star Valley, Wyoming, to Joseph Lamoni Holbrook and Sarah Leola Wilkes. She attended schools in Marysville, Idaho.
She married Harry Hainsworth in 1935. They divorced in 1943. She married Sy Baker in 1963. Sy preceded her in death in June of 1974. Dortha worked as a hostess. Over the years she was employed at Lyd's Cafe, Jack's Chicken Inn , the Westbank, and the Stardust.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dortha enjoyed quilting and embroidery.

Son: Kenneth (Irene) Hainsworth, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Gary (Colleen) Hainsworth, Rigby, ID
Sister: Helen (Pete) Chamberlain, Marysville, ID
Sister: Beth Murdoch, St. George, UT
7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Thede Holbrook, Blaine Holbrook, and Glen Holbrook; and a brother-in-law, Vaughn Murdoch.
The family will visit with friends Friday, February 26, 2010, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. A private family burial at Ammon Cemetery will follow the visitation.

I realize you do not know me. I am the daughter of Sy's youngest brother Zebe. I grew up in Pocatello and my parents often spoke fondly of your mother and Uncle Sy.
