Dorothy Williams - 09/11/2002 Dorothy Williams - 09/11/2002 DOROTHY WILLIAMS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dorothy Williams, 85, of Idaho Falls, died September 11, 2002, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born August 9, 1917, in Samaria, Idaho, to Henry John Thomas and Mary Ann Jenkins Thomas. She attended primary schools in Samaria and high school in Salt Lake City. She has lived in Idaho Falls for 60 years. She married William Jenkin Williams July 4, 1936 in Cherry Creek, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 1, 1946. She worked as a technician in Central Services at the Idaho Falls River View Hospital. Her husband preceded her in death February 13, 1990. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a visiting teacher and Sunday School Secretary. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, and especially her family, grand and great grandchildren. Surviving are:Son: William J. Bill and Rosemary Williams, Provo, UTSon: Michael D. and Ann Williams, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter-in-law: Linda Williams, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Vida Bedell,Sister: Rachel Marshall,Sister: Twila Silvester, All of Ogden, UTSister: Leah Jones, Blackfoot, ID12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Gerald Williams, a sister, Grace Thomas, and three brothers, Lloyd, LaMar and Ken Thomas. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, September 14, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Larry Wilson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and for one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
