Dorothy Westergard - 02/14/2002 Dorothy Westergard - 02/14/2002 DOROTHY WESTERGARD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dorothy Scherb Westergard, 84, of Idaho Falls, died February 13, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1918, at Bozeman, Montana, to Arthur Scherb and Myrtle King Scherb. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She married David Lloyd Westergard October 23, 1938, at Idaho Falls. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker, and mother. Her husband, D. L., passed away August 5, 1998. Her life was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, and times spent in Island Park. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are:Son: James [Jean] Westergard, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Linda [Tom] Strickland, Evergreen, CODaughter: Mary Lou Schuldt, Fairfield, IASister: Helen McCulloch, Hemet, CA 5 Granddaughters & 1 GrandsonShe was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Hazel Scherb Dumpf, and two grandsons, David Westergard and Cameron Strickland. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
