Dorothy Geneil Rasmussen Pincock, 88, of Shelley, passed away October 6, 2016, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
Dorothy was born September 16, 1928, in Chapin, Teton, Idaho, to Elvin Andrew Rasmussen and Anna LaPreal Moulton Rasmussen. She was the seventh of twelve children.
On February 20, 1948, she married Paul Blackford Pincock in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS temple. Together, they enjoyed 61 years of marriage, raised four children, Peggy Jeneil Pincock of Shelley, ID; Syd F. (Karen) Pincock of Las Vegas, NV; Joan Klingler (deceased); and Paula (Robert) Loveland of Ammon, ID. They cherished and loved 12 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various capacities within the church throughout her life and had a firm testimony of the Lord, Jesus Christ, as our Savior and Redeemer.
She loved nature and she expressed it through her beautiful paintings. She ensured every grandchild had at least one painting, and they will continue to be treasured and serve as a reminder of her ability to see beauty in all things. She had a special love of roses and the Grand Tetons, both of which inspired many of her pieces. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, BYU football games, scenic drives with the love of her life, and rocking sweet grand babies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and all but one brother, Alan Don Rasmussen.
