DOROTHY PILKINGTON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dorothy Pilkington, 83, of Idaho Falls, died July 9, 2007, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living Center.
She was born July 21, 1923, at Jameston, Idaho, to James Roy Leavitt and Bertha May Arave Leavitt. She grew up and attended schools in the area.
On March 20, 1940, she married George Randall Pilkington in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Shelley, where she was a mother and homemaker and, for a short time, worked as a hairdresser. Two years ago she moved back to Idaho Falls.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed camping, fishing, being in the outdoors, and needlework. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Son: Arlen (Donna) Pilkington, Blackfoot, ID
Son: James (Susan) Pilkington, Ellis, ID
Sister: Beulah Hicks, Idaho Falls, ID
7 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Nathan DeMille; and five brothers; Merrill, Cleo, Vern, Golden, and Jack.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
