JENSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dorothy Viola Tracy Jenson, 73, of Idaho Falls, died February 23, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a brief bout with cancer. She was born August 26, 1928, at Idaho Falls, to Richard LaVearl Tracy and Viola Hammer Tracy. She grew up in the Idaho Falls area and attended schools here and in Osgood. She has been a lifelong resident of the Idaho Falls area. She married Allan Newey Jenson May 5, 1944, at Amarillo, Texas. Their marriage was solemnized May 7, 1946, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and mother. She also worked as a bus driver for School District #91 and District #93 and was an Administrative Secretary for School District #93. Her husband passed away April 20, 2000. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in several stake and ward positions, including Relief Society President and visiting teacher. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Nurses on the 5th Floor at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for their kindness and compassion. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln 1st Ward, 3700 East Lincoln Road, with Bishop Kim Buck officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral home and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
