DOROTHY BECKSTEAD
IDAHO FALLS, ID --
Dorothy Casper Beckstead, 84, of Aberdeen, passed away April 23, 2006, at Harms Memorial Hospital in American Falls.
Dorothy was born May 25, 1921, in Bybee, Idaho, to Rupert Firel Casper and Lillian Jenkins Casper. She spent her early years in Bybee, then moved with her family to Ucon, where she attended schools and graduated from Ucon High School. She then attended business school in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She married Eugene Beckstead and they were later divorced. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, and retired as Deputy Treasurer of Bonneville County after 25 years of service. She moved to Aberdeen two years ago to be closer to her family.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dorothy enjoyed reading, puzzles, watching golf on television, attending the Senior Citizens Center, and visiting with her neighbors.

Sister: Bernice (Grant) Thomas of Spokane, WA
Granddaughter: Amyee Wachter
Granddaughter: Shannon Wachter

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Missett, and a brother, Lloyd Casper.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge. The family will visit with friends Friday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
