Doris Ann Schooley

Doris Ann Christian Schooley, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 3, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Doris was born July 21, 1936, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Ed Schooley and Helen McComb Schooley. She grew up and attended schools in El Reno and graduated from El Reno High School.  She also attended The University of Oklahoma as a first year student. In 1955, she married Bob Christian in Oklahoma City, OK, and they made their home in Oklahoma City until Bob’s death in 1999.

In 2003, she married Wayne Schooley in The Village, located within Oklahoma City, and they made their home in The Village until Wayne’s death in 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bob, in 1999; and her second husband Wayne in 2019.

Doris relocated to Idaho Falls, ID, in 2020 to reside near her son Stephen until her death.

Doris very much enjoyed the company of and visiting with her resident friends and employees of Fairwinds Sand Creek Senior Living.  Additionally, she very much enjoyed spending time with her ‘grand dog’, her son Stephen’s golden retriever, named Beatrice. She is survived by her sons, Stephen Christian of Idaho Falls, ID, and Christopher Christian of Castle Pines, Co; and her daughter, Cheryl Menchavez of San Jose, CA. No services will be held.
