Doris Arlene Youngberg Covolo, 87, formerly of Mountain View, Wyoming, passed away on January 4, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Idaho Falls. She was born on September 11, 1928, in Lyman, Wyoming, to Adolph Werner Youngberg and Rosa Barbara Fillin Youngberg. She grew up and attended schools in the area and in 1991 received her GED in Mountain View, Wyoming. On June 27, 1946, she married Batista Joseph Covolo in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on September 2, 1978. To this union were born three children, Dan, Dennis, and Leisa. Doris was a mother and homemaker and worked for 30 years in the Postal Service. She also had worked as a cook, rancher, dairy farmer, and waitress. She was a member of Club 15 that provided a movie and stockings on Christmas Eve to children in the valley and was active in the Mountain View Senior Citizens group. She also won numerous prizes for her ice cream at the Uinta County Fair. Doris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Relief Society Counselor, Visiting Teacher, Visiting Teacher Supervisor, and Primary Worker. She enjoyed reading, word find puzzles, ceramics, plastic canvas, painting, embroidery, crocheting, cooking, crafts, quilting and liquid embroidery. Survivors are: Son: Dan Jay (Marilyn) Covolo, Lyman, WY Son: Dennis Batista (Vicki Ann) Covolo, Mountain View, WY Daughter: Leisa Arlene (Todd) Brown, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Mildred R. Vercimak, Lyman, WY Sister: Helen M. Ferguson, Tooele, UT 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grand She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five siblings, a daughter-in-law, and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the Mountain View LDS Church (116 Fourth Street, Mountain View, WY) with Bishop Justin Ellis officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., both at the church. Burial will be in Ft. Bridger Cemetery in Ft. Bridger, Wyoming.
