Doris Hamilton Campbell, 94, of Swan Valley, Idaho, passed away April 6, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Rigby, Idaho, surrounded by her loved ones. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Doris was born April 19, 1920, in Sugar City, Idaho, to John William Hamilton and Almina Sophia Winmill Hamilton. She grew up and attended schools in Sugar City and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. She also attended Ricks College and graduated with her degree as a registered nurse from Idaho Falls LDS Hospital.
On June 1, 1944, she married Brian Villet "Bud" Campbell in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. To this union were born five children, Vickey, Jerry, Connie Jo, Neil, and Brian. Doris and Bud made their home in Swan Valley, Idaho, where Doris was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was the school nurse at Swan Valley Elementary School for four years, and later worked at Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs for 22 years. Bud passed away January 15, 2014.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Primary, Relief Society, as Young Women’s Camp Director, and as a Stake Missionary, as well as various other capacities over the years. Doris also served as a Justice of the Peace in Swan Valley. She enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, canning, cooking, and camping.

daughter, Connie Jo (William) Woods of Rigby, ID,
son, Neil (Tamra Clucas) Campbell of Las Vegas, NV,
son, Brian “Skip” (Catherine Verdoorn) Campbell of Lodi, CA,
brother, Jim (Marion) Hamilton of Saint Anthony, ID.
17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Jerry Marie Allen, sisters, Reah Hamilton, Edna Hoyt, Afton Poulter, Ora Burrup, Belle Webster, and Rae Hamilton.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Palisade LDS Ward, Highway 26, Swan Valley. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Swan Valley Cemetery.
