Doreen Moore Jessen

DOREEN JESSEN RIGBY, ID -- Doreen Rose Moore Jessen, 73, of Rigby, died May 24, 2006, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born September 1, 1932, at Salem, Idaho, to Leland H. Moore and Harriet Holden Davidson Moore. She grew up in the area and graduated from Rigby High School. On July 11, 1953, she married Albert Lenard Jessen in Elko, Nevada. They moved to Swan Valley where they lived for 40 years. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. As a youth, she worked with her Dad at the theater in Rigby and later worked as a telephone operator. For the past five years, she has lived in Rigby. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, woodworking, gambling, fishing, and camping. Doreen especially loved spending time with her family, was a great inspiration to all who knew her, and, although she endured so much, courageously kept on going. Survivors are: Daughter: Sheryl (Timothy) Hoskins, Yelm, WA Daughter: Marla (Don) Aicher, Iona, ID Son: Vince (Cathy) Jessen, Rigby, ID Son: David (Sarah) Jessen, Ririe, ID Son: Rex Jessen, Rigby, ID Brother: Clair Moore, Indio, CA Sister: Nyla (Jerry) Nuckols, Missoula, MT 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; Floyd Moore and George Moore; and a sister, Elaine Klug. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Bishop Blair Jacobson of the Swan Valley LDS Palisades Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
