DORA VETO SCHMIER BARRETT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, Dora Veto Schmier Barrett, passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on March 26, 2006, at Life Care Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was born November 17, 1910, in Clarksville, Missouri, to Rolla Bryant Veto and Minnie Angelene McIntyre Veto. She spent her early years in Clarksville and Rupert, Idaho.
Dora married Jacob Schmier June 11, 1927, in Rupert, Idaho. This union was blessed with five children. Shortly after the birth of their first child they moved to Idaho Falls, where she has lived ever since, with the exception of a few years in Twin Falls, Idaho. She worked as a waitress for the Elks Lodge, Bairs Truck Stop, and was also a meat wrapper at Safeway. Jacob passed away October 19, 1963. She married Quentin Barrett December 14, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dora loved her family and spending time with them, she delighted in their visits and with all her children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling until her health began to fail.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Life Care Center for the excellent level of care they provided to our beloved Dora while she was there and to all others for their tender loving care at this time.

Stepson: Gene (Brenda) Barrett of Idaho Falls, ID
Stepdaughter: Judy Garner of Idaho Falls, ID
Stepson: Gary Ray (Lee) Barrett of Idaho Falls, ID
37 Grandchildren, 68 Great Grandchildren, and 35 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, two sisters, a brother, two grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
