DORA ANDERSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dora Ellen LaFever Smith Anderson, 85, passed away February 11, 2009, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Idaho Falls under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born April 9, 1923 in Silver Point, Tennessee, to Swen Sceva LaFever and Maggie Lena Ford LaFever. She attended elementary school in Silver Point and later a boarding school in Tennessee. The family moved to Idaho in the early 1940's. She married George Anthony Smith on March 10, 1944, in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. They lived in Driggs, Iona, and Idaho Falls. George died in May, 1978. She married Jim Anderson on November 5, 1985, and he preceded her in death. Dora was a farmer’s wife and worked at the Idaho Potato Grower’s Plant. She also worked as a an Avon lady for several years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the Primary, Nursery and Sunday School. Dora enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, crocheting, embroidery and reading. She is survived by her Son, Les (Nancy) Smith of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Sharon K. Smith of Idaho Falls ; Sister, Myrtle Clemons of St. George, UT; Sister, Hazel Gilson of Twin Falls, ID; Sister, Roberta Winks of St. George, UT; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her husbands; two sons, Vaun and Blair; two brothers; four sisters; two great granddaughters; and one grandson. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., with Bishop Greg Horton of the Idaho Falls LDS Taylor Crossing Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10-10:45 prior to the services.
