Donovan Earl Dewey, 15, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 28, 2026, at his home.
Donovan was born October 6, 2010, in Burley, Idaho, to parents, John and Krista Dewey. He was the younger brother of John Coleman and Jenna Christine Dewey. Donovan grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Donovan enjoyed exploring the sidewalks, parks, canals, and stores of his surrounding neighborhood while on his bike or walking with friends. He enjoyed cutting the lawn, making sure that the mower left straight, neat lines. He enjoyed making the perfect pancake. He designed gadgets to 3D print and created art. He found joy playing soccer for Idaho Falls High School. He loved his dog, Pippa, who chose to sleep in his bed and waited at the window for Donovan to come home.
Donovan was a loyal friend and teammate. He was a kind, funny, creative boy that will be forever missed by those who knew him.
Donovan is survived by his parents, John and Krista Dewey of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, John Dewey of Logan, UT; sister, Jenna Dewey of Riverton, WY; grandparents, Earl and Chris Blower of Ammon, ID; and grandparents, John and Linda Dewey of Pocatello, ID.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
