Donnie Louise (Cox) Jones

Donnie Louise Jones, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 22, 2020, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and her loving family.

Donnie was born March 26, 1938, in Hudson, Colorado, to Essie Claude Cox and Anna Belle Henderson Cox.  She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.

On August 24, 1953, she married Clifton Potter in Blackfoot, Idaho. They were blessed with two children, Merle and Peggy. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Donnie worked cleaning homes. Clifton passed away on January 3, 1976. She met Roger Jones and they were married on December 29, 1978, in Jackson, Wyoming.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed reading, painting, crafting, ceramics, and doing puzzles.

Donnie is survived by her loving children, Merle Potter of Idaho Falls and Peggy (Walter) Thornock of Ammon, ID; sister, Shirley Bennett of Idaho Falls; 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton Potter; second husband, Roger Jones; grandson, Chris Thornock; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Potter.

The family will visit with friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12 Noon Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
