Donna Elva (Jenson) Sautter

Donna Elva Sautter, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 8, 2020, at her daughter, Troy’s, home.  She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and her loving family.

Donna was born July 9, 1926, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Nels Calvin Jenson and Lottie Violet Davies Jenson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.

On June 17, 1947, she married Thomas William Sautter in Lincoln, Idaho. Donna and Tom made their home in Idaho Falls where Donna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Tom passed away on November 22, 2002.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings through the years.  She enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. She loved doing pictures of family, quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, puzzles, and  bowling tournaments at Fairwinds.

Donna is survived by her loving children, Judy (Steve) Westergard of Idaho Falls, Carol (Mike) Duncan of Idaho Falls, Larry (Betty) Sautter of Shelley, ID, Blair (Gail) Sautter of Idaho Falls, daughter, Troy (Scott) Zaugg of Idaho Falls, and son, Ric Sautter of Saratoga Springs, NY; 31 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nels Calvin and Lottie Jenson; husband, Tom Sautter; grandparents, Jonathan and Sarah Annie Davies; son-in-law, Steve Westergard; sister, Madge Johnson; cousin, Bonnie Hougen; and Aunt and Uncle, Jesse and Elva Wise.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Cottages Building, 2200 Stafford Drive, with Bishop Matt Stevens of the Rimrock Ward officiating.  The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10- 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.  Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
