DONNA "D. J." GREENE IDAHO FALLS, ID - Donna Jean “ D. J.” Davis Rumsey Greene, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 24, 2006, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. She was born November 7, 1929, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Leo Martin Davis and Thetta Lucille Thompson Davis. She grew up and attended schools in St Anthony, graduating as an honor student from South Fremont High School. She was very talented musically, and as children, she and her sister, Betty Lou, tap-danced at local functions. She also tap-danced at her 40- and 50-year high school reunions. She had a strong passion for her pets and loved all animals. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She married Gary B. Rumsey in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1967. She married Luther (Luke) Tapp in 1970. They later divorced. She worked as a bail bondsman for 23 years. She always treated her business clients with kindness and respect, regardless of their situation. She retired in Spring of 2005. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended primary as a child and previously played piano for Relief Society. She enjoyed music, tap dancing, and played many instruments, including piano, harmonica, clarinet, guitar and organ. She played at many funerals and weddings throughout her lifetime. She had taught piano lessons, and took pride in raising flowers, especially her roses. She will be greatly missed by her family, and many close friends. She is survived by: Daughter: Kymme (David) Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Todd (Charlene) Rumsey, Idaho Falls, Son-in-law: George Wight, Peoria, AZ 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary, a daughter, Pamme, and a sister, Betty Lou. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, at The Idaho Falls LDS 8th Ward, 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Brad Doman officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and for one hour before services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------- Condolences sent online: Nancy Palmer Donna was a frequent patient of a Doctor we worked for. She was always fun and witty. She was determined to make the best of what ever her situation was. She always impressed me as a "gutsy" lady with a lot of spunk. Sad to say but I also had a time to do business with her professionaly. She did, indeed, treat us with respect, a trait not always practiced by those in her line of work. She was a great lady!
